In 1934, twenty years old Carl Wolf, a son of Karl J. Wolf, entered the firm and soon became the technical director of the jewellery firm.
Only three years later, the death of Wilhelm Wolf was a severe blow to be sustained, for the member of the group of founders had been the creative mind in the development of new designs.

World War II and the Years after the War
In 1939, the urgently necessary construction of a new factory building began. The outbreak of World War II, however, was the reason of a construction standstill,

which lasted one year. Only in 1940, under severe conditions, the construction process continued, until the new building was finished in 1941. The jewellery production was run only to small extent, but had to be changed to war

economy from 1943 to the end of the war.
